Girl Focuses on Results & Doesn’t Make Any of Her Resolutions | by Jay Shetty

We’ve all been guilty of setting a goal based on a specific result. Run five miles everyday. Cut carbs completely out of our diets. Get a promotion at work.

As the days go by, we start to get discouraged.

Instead of measuring the progress we’re making or the positive change that’s occurring, we measure how far away we are from the result we want.

The distance may be short, but as we compare where we are to where we want to be, the distance is amplified until it seems BIG. We start feeling like a failure, and eventually we give up and throw our goals away.

What if there was a better way to set goals that didn’t rely on a specific result?

Watch this video to learn how setting progress-based intentions is a healthier, more sustainable way to set and achieve goals.
